About My Classes

I teach a core-based vinyasa method (@LYT Method) developed by a licensed physical therapist, which combines kinesiology, neurology, and functional movement to provide a full body training method that helps you improve and care for your body.

My classes are suitable for all levels.

ABOUT ME


I am a 300 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher in the @LYT Method based in Houston, Texas. My passion for yoga began 20 years ago when I walked into my first yoga class as a PhD student in Los Angeles. During the pandemic, I tore my AC ligament and developed a frozen shoulder, which led me to explore Lara Heimann’s teachings on Instagram and her short shoulder mobility drills. This experience sparked my curiosity in shoulder anatomy, and I began to delve deeper through LYT Method.

Through @LYT Method, I began to take a comprehensive look at my movement practice and patterns, and focused more intently on my posture, breath, and core strength.

My mission is to help you move, feel, breathe, and live better.

Frequently asked questions

I get asked this question a lot, and the short answer is no. The practice of yoga will improve your flexibility and mobility. In my classes, we do not move into end ranges of motion. Instead, we focus on building core strength and inner stabilizer muscles to help improve your mobility.

My classes are suitable for all-levels. Come to class ready to learn and to start your journey to move, breathe, and feel better!

The studio has yoga mats and props for use. If you come to class frequently and begin a regular yoga practice, I recommend buying a yoga mat. We have cubbies for your personal belongings,  and parking is alongside or behind the studio.
